Why start a podcast in 2025? | LOI #1

A short Q&A with Sean and Justin.

WHY START A PODCAST IN 2024?

Justin: A conversation that improves the sales life is one worth having, in my opinion. Having polled my followers on social (some 20,000 people), I felt what Sean and I had discussed creating did not exist, and would shine a light on personal and professional conversations that people were eager to have. We’ll see… 😉

Sean: I really didn’t know we were starting a podcast, Justin kind of tricked me into that. True story. But, so far, I’m glad he did. He’s a genuine dude and one of the best communicators I know. Perfect guy to start a project with.

IS PODCASTING A BIT… cliché?

Sean: Yes. In fact, I think there are too many podcasts out there. Bottom line, if it doesn’t connect and add value, we will take it out behind the barn and shoot it.

Justin: LOL, yes it is, but it’s also awesome. Our plan is to have a video + audio element from the start, but the podcast format is essential for us. After a grueling sales day, we picture the weary cold-call warrior having a bit of a respite on their commute home. We’re both video guys, but capturing that on-the-go AirPod time is perfect for what we want to accomplish.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT TO HEAR AS A SUBSCRIBER?

Justin: Excellently produced yet informal conversation. Laughs. Questions. Punchy, but real. A range of topics include life, faith, family, real estate, branding, sales, teams, productivity, and more.

Sean: It won’t be an “interview style” podcast with a bunch of guests. Will be more like two friends hanging out and talking about life. Real conversations. Everything from super tactical business stuff to existential deep stuff. Nothing is planned or rehearsed; we go where the conversation takes us and hope some magic happens.

WHAT ARE YOU MOST EXCITED ABOUT FOR THIS ENDEAVOR?

Sean: Learning how to add value via a completely new medium. If successful new relationships and opportunities will come from this. If not successful I will learn some great lessons. Either way, I’m here for it.

Justin: I started writing on LinkedIn after discovering Sean’s posts. They were clever, authentic, and accomplished. Sean is legit. I’m excited to learn and be creative with someone who has high standards and lives meaningfully. We will start slowly, but there is no ceiling to what this can become.
